Marble Nail Art!

A fun experiment with nail polish i wanted to try out!
you will need a bowl of water,
nail polish colors
toothpick (i used a pointy tip brush)
qtips
nail remover
also TAPE for around your nails (not pictured)
take nail polish and let the polish drip on top of the water
alternate the colors
then take a toothpick and slowly blend it in, into a design.

a design :)
then you take your nail and slowly put ur nail UNDER the nail polish design.
slowly lift your nail up so the polish sticks onto your nail :)
let it sit for a few seconds before you take the tape off around your nail
remove any messes on your finger with nail polish remover

i will do a tutorial vlog on this process at a future time :)

Sugar wax!
Sugar-waxing, or sugaring, is a form of depilatory hair removal that is used with a cool sugar mixture, as opposed to hot wax. It is less painful than waxing and it exfoliates the skin while it works, which promotes a healthy complexion. Making your own sugar wax recipe at home only requires a few simple ingredients and can be a cost-effective alternative to salon waxes.

Ingredients

  • Make your sugar wax using the following simple kitchen ingredients: 2 cups  pure cane sugar, 1 cup lemon juice.

Preparations

  • Fill the saucepan with your sugar and lemon juice and set it on the stove on low heat. Stir slowly as the mixture heats and small bubbles begin to appear .Continue to heat until the mixture is thickened with large popping bubbles, and the mixture turns amber in color. Pour the mixture into a chilled, thick plastic bowl or dish and let it cool to room temperature before using it.

Application and Cautions

  • Spread the cooled sugar wax (make sure that it is cooled enough, otherwise you may burn yourself) onto the desired part of your body by putting it in your hands and roll it into a BALL. apply the ball on your skin and spread it in the direction of your hair's growth. you do NOT need any paper or linens to put over the sugar wax. the wax will be ready to remove when it has harden up enough. (expeirement with it ) Repeat this until you have removed all unwanted hair. Cover the remaining sugar wax and  store it in a cool dark place. To use it again, microwave it until it is melted.
  • I LOVE to use sugar wax, it leaves my skin feeling soft unlike regualr wax. the hairs are removed very well and the growth is really slow and minimal :)

Asprin Facial!
Aspirin tablets can be used for more than just curing headache symptoms. You can achieve clear and healthy-looking skin by regularly applying an aspirin facial mask. Aspirin tablets contain a crystalline compound derived from salicylic acid -- the primary ingredient found in many commercial facial masks and acne treatments. Salicylic acid is a beta hydroxyl acid, or BHA, which helps to cleanse pores, remove dead skin cells and heal blemishes. The complete process for making an aspirin facial mask can be completed in several minutes.
10 uncoated aspirin tablets
Jojoba oil or water (jojoba oil for dry skin)
Honey (i forgot this for the first application but used it in the next ones)
orange (for oily skin and great smell)
bowl
Spoon (use this to crush the asprin in the bowl)
for the first mixture that i used, i just used juice from orange and asprin. it was a great refreshing smell and the tingling feel from the acid juice was relaxing.
with the following applications daily i used only honey, water, and asprin.
i use acidic fruit once a week for a tougher treatment.
I absloutely love using the toothbrush as a exfoliate.
My skin the next day, the dead skin comes right off!! and new healthy skin appears.

dont forget JEWELRY! look in the glass displays at the thrift stores :)

Because i spend crazy cheap amounts of money for clothing, purses, and shoes, i can invest in organic/costly beauty products.

From a christian perspective, ive been told that wearing
pants was a sin and that i SHOULD/HAVE to wear a skirt. ive visited a few chrches where the women brought up a conversation about skirts. i had questioned that because i do believe as a woman out in the world, theres definately certain clothes a christian woman shouldn't wear which attracts MORE lust. there are still always going to be some men who lust women in skirts, pants, or even covered as much as possible. it doesnt make sense why i couldnt wear pants due to the scripture of no cross dressing that some christians pull out and use it for their rule. Deuteronomy 22:5, "A woman shall not wear anything that pertains to a man; nor shall a man put on a woman's garment, for all who do so are an abomination to the Lord your God." In biblical times, men and women both wore robes and there is no mention of pants in the bible because it wasnt created yet. as a woman, we like feminine added styles to reflect inner beauty. The robes women wore, i bet you they were more feminine than mens robes. pants itself are different for men and women, for example, jason would NEVER wear womens pants. http://www.biblestudy.org/question/should-women-wear-only-dresses-and-not-pants.html
Those who follow MAN's chosen doctrine of the "skirt" only rule, its a thin line; pride, and judging others is possible to get in the way. god had confirmed that for me that it is true how SOME people DO JUDGE others with not wearing skirts or dresses. i choose to wear pants modestly to go out in the world, it makes ME comfortable and it makes people more comfortable to approach me so i can eventually share jesus (IN NOW TIMES, in the ENVIRONMENT AND THE WORLD AROUND ME). i do wear skirts when the holy spirit tells me to and i wear dresses at special events, celebrations, church. I also wear pants and capris to church modestly. Even plain or out of date clothes can be worn with vanity - the very drabness or difference draws attention to the outward person, not the inner man. It could also make people avoid you and leave churches based on all the MANS chosen docterine/traditional rules. Christian holy spirit filled women should have the christian liberty, god gives you that free will to choose. always be in tune with god as to what to wear according to his will.  GOD KNOWS YOUR HEART. holy spirit filled christian women will dress modest weather its pants or a skirt. modesty reflects the holy spirit, a true christian charatcher, fruits of the spirit, and GRACE. the holy sprirt does not judge on what u wear. theres NO where in the bible of a uniform code. its a personal conviction for the individual person in their own intimate relationship with jesus, a christian liberty, and/or gods will. i also believe that no man (pastor or other christians) have the authority over me based on their own doctrines or traditions. here are some amazing holy spirit filled women of god wearing pants.

"And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength; this is the first commandment. And second is this: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these." Mark 12:30-31

YOGURT MOISTURIZER
Yogurt is a delicious, healthy treat as a dessert or a quick mid-day pick-me-up -- and it is also an effective skin moisturizer. Plus, yogurt removes trapped dirt and oil from the skin on your face and other parts of your body. Unlike some other skincare products, a yogurt moisturizer can be used for either dry or oily skin. Preparing a yogurt moisturizer takes only a few minutes and requires ingredients you likely already have in your kitchen.
Medium-sized bowl
Small bowl
2 tbsp. old-fashioned oatmeal
1 tbsp. honey (for dry skin)
10 drops lemon juice (for oily skin)
Measure 1 cup yogurt into a medium-sized bowl.
Pour 1 tbsp. honey into a small bowl and microwave on high for 10 seconds.

Mix 2 tbsp. old-fashioned oatmeal into the yogurt.

Add the warm honey to the mixture to make a moisturizer for dry skin; and/or, add 10 drops of lemon juice to the mixture to make a moisturizer for oily skin. Stir until thoroughly blended.

Apply with your fingers a thick layer of the yogurt mixture onto your neck and face, including your jawbone, nose and forehead, and other body parts, such as elbows and knees. Rub it in thoroughly.
dry and ready to be washed.
The yogurt moisturizer is AMAZING! It gives me SOFT and REFRESHED skin. I don't even bother buying moisturizer :) And I save a LOT of money :)

MAKE UP!

God does NOT judge you on what you look like on the outside.
God, who knows the heart, showed that He accepted them by giving the Holy Spirit to them, just as He did to us” (Acts 15:8). “For the LORD searches every heart and understands every motive behind the thoughts” (1 Chronicles 28:9). “For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and matrrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart” (Hebrews 4:12).
Its a personal conviction between your personal intimate relationship with Jesus. Rom 12:2 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. (KJV)
I ask god personally what to clothe my temple daily. He is a LOVING god and he knows what I like and what makes me feel beautiful on the outside and for my husband and it reflects my inner beauty. There are days when I wear minimal make-up, usually when I go out of the house alone.
Wearing make-up or not wearing make-up is a christian liberty. it also can be god's will in a situation.  As christians we need to focus on the inner beauty :)

God has been conversing with me about my makeup. He had opened my eyes on how a lot of people notice my eyes by the color of the eye shadows and stare at me. when i am having a coversation with the person, the person cant help but be distracted by my eye colors or be fastinated by it. My inner spirit really outshines my outter image however, i Feel PERSONALLY convicted. even though i dont completely understand his reasons but TRUST his reasons. (safety, future, etc.) I need to tone down on my eye makeup. I can definately still use color! but TONED DOWN.
Toned down eye makeup, it accenates my natural beauty but with color matching my shirt for the day which i LOVE. God is an awesome father, he knows whats best for me and LOVES me :)

I don't usually use black eyeliner, but I saw some black eyeliner in a small jar from e.l.f. It comes with a eye liner shaping brush. When I applied it, it was REALLY thick black. I removed it with a tissue and the black still sticked on but it was right on where the lashes are. It looked neat! I always use a color matching my outfit for the day. I had orangeish, reddish color, it is so pretty. I applied it under my eyes and on the sides. It really POPPED my eyes out. I touched up with a grey eyeshadow. I used Black mascara at the end. For my hair, I looked on youtube for hair tutorials. I wanted a summer hairstyle to get some of my thick hair off my back. I did the french twist going up and applied bobby pins to hold it in place. The extra hair on the top, i divided it into 2 sections and bobby pinned it down on the sides giving it a wrap look. Before I twisted up the hair section, I parted some hair for the front. After the twist was done, I use hairspray to hold the front hair part to the side. The headband was from the dollar store.
Happy 4th of July!! I LOVE makeup, and I have learned a lot of new makeup tutorials. This make up is quite simple, 3 patriotic colors.
Red on lid, Blue under lid, and white on rest. The colors was from e.l.f, the "black book" makeup palette. Black mascara from physicians formula.

new PURPLE eyeliner and eye shadow duet from loreal'  from dollar store! Light purple and Dark purple. i applied dark purple line on eyelash then add light purple on top of dark. i also touched up the liners with matching purple eye shadows. and then i applied purple eye shadow on the under eyelid. mascarea at the end. purple really POPS out brown eye color. this is what i looked like going to church! :)

  1. I wanted to make a few suggestions to you if you don't know about them--in the Third Ward there are 2 shops worth checking out. Retique is a Goodwill boutique--you can find all the designer names there. Prices are a little higher but the quality of stuff is a LOT higher than digging through the regular Goodwills. (Not that it isn't worth it to go to a regular thrift store!!) There is an all men's shop called Upscale Resale across the street. We go there for my husband's work clothes 'cause he works in an office. A friend's husband got an Armani suit there for $210 out the door! You can google either of them for the addresses or Upscale Resale has a Facebook page. :)
